Citrusdal
Under two hours drive north of Cape Town along the N7, Citrusdal beckons with a sense of adventure. "Gateway to the Cederberg" and the floral splendour of Namaqualand, Citrusdal nestles between fragrant mountains. Meandering through and sustaining this magnificent fertile valley, is the Olifants River - lifeblood of the area's world-renowned citrus industry.
The pristine fynbos-clad hills and mountains surrounding Citrusdal are an unique wilderness environment, offering visitors the opportunity to experience our diversity of plant and animal life by hiking or recreational vehicle. Hiking and Mountain Biking
Untouched wilderness areas and mountain farms around Citrusdal offer wonderful opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The unusual rock formations of the internationally renowned Cederberg mountain wilderness area draw hikers from all over the world. This ruggedly beautiful landscape offers hikers ranging from a couple of hours to several days, visiting well-known formations like the Maltese Cross and the Wolfberg Arch, as well as other scenic destinations.

The Western Province Skydiving Club, offering visitors tandem and free fall jumps, is based in Citrusdal. Our golf course, set on the banks of the Olifants River, allows visitors the opportunity to play in breathtaking surroundings at affordable prices. The mountains around Citrusdal and the Cederberg are a mecca for 4x4 enthusiasts. Experience our pristine fynbos mountains and breathtaking views from remote and beautiful places.
