Africa, Eastern: Tanzania
Tanzania varies greatly in geography. You will find it hot and humid on the eastern coast, mountainous in the north-east with Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest peak of Africa) and (Africa's largest lake) Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika (Africa's deepest lake) and Great Lakes in the north and west and the centre with large plateau - plains of arable land.
This country is home to many ecologically important (andl arge) wildlife parks such as Serengeti National Park, Mikumi National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and also the Selous Game Reserve, Gombe National Park which Dr. Jane Goodall put on the map with her chimpanzee studies. Tanzania's Serenget plain is habitat to many wildlife and of course the wildebeest which takes part in the annual migration - of which the white-bearded wildebeest.
Visiting this exciting African gem, guests can expect Tanzania to cater to every need and preference with accommodation ranging from authentic and rustic bungalows to ultra-exclusive lodges, luxury tented camps and hotels aimed at comfort.
