Africa, Southern: Namibia: Windhoek
The capital of Namibia is an exciting, cosmopolitan, multicultural and environmental city. The city streets share space between conference venues and African street markets making for an efficient business district with authentic sounds, smells and textures all abound.
Activities in the city can range from great eateries, bars and shopping, cultural entertainment such as the annual Independence Concert, fantastic art galleries to visit to scenic beauty and wildlife just outside the city. More places to see include the Namibian Parliament, National Gallery of Namibia and the beautiful Christuskirche (old Lutheran church).
There are many events to choose from, but the highlight is surely the New Year's Eve Bash when the city enters a new year and celebrates its uniqueness under one roof.
