Limpopo, South Africa

An unforgiving thorn-riddled stretch of land that has three mountains and the named-after Limpopo River. This province is situated at the most Northern tip of its country and borders with African neighbours Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe plus local Kruger National Park. Bisected by the tropic of Capricorn, summers here are dry-ish and range between hot and uncomfortably hot. Evening temperatures can drop rapidly and you will need to pack your suitcase for daytime and nighttimes. It is mostly visited during mild winter months.
