Durban – a city popular with every type of agegroup, nationality and personality. Durban offers everything a city should, yet it is managable in its size. The climate is fantastic, the beaches perfect to sunbbath on and the water stunning to swim in. It is a colourful place with vibrant people and lots to see and do. It has many museums, great shopping centres, a fantastic Botanical Garden , both a snake and bird park, temples and mosques. Durban is also South Africa’s busiest Coastal Port.
Umhlanga – in Umhlanga you will find holidaying a luxurious pleasure due to great hotels and restaurants, authentic crafts and it’s closeness to Durban centre.
The Dolphin Coast (North Coast) – this beach got its name from the many bottlenose dolphins that are always nearby in shallow waters. This stretch includes Timbali (South) and Tugela River (North).
Tongaat – you will find an 18 hole golf course here, plus a crocodile breeding centre on the Tongaat beach. The area is also the oldest Indian community and this is where you will find the Juggernath Puri Temple and the Vishwaroop Temple.
Ulundi – this royal place is known as the ‘Zulu’ capital of KZN. It is here where you will find King Mpande’s residence and royal grave, plus the KwaZulu Cultural Museum at Ondini.
Pietermaritzburg – a historic and charming capital city in gorgeous green surrounds offer many great museums, mosques and temples, azaleas are abundant in the city and the National Botanical Garden is a must-visit. E-mail:

Midlands – this is a stretch of lush green beauty and fantastic climate, quaint towns, cultural interest, the Umgeni river with its falls and a stunning nature reserve, the Midmar dam with fantastic water sports and an open-air museum.
South Coast – the South Coast is a subtropical stretch of beaches with lush green backdrops, perfect weather most of the time, friendly people and everything else you need for an unforgettable holiday. Make it a definite to include the largest town, Amanzimtoti in your itinerary.
St Lucia – Eco-enthusiasts come here for very opvious reasons. St Lucua is an eco-paradise. Hippo’s, crocodiles, wide variety of antelope, birds and fish are to be enjoyed in their great numbers. Sodwana Bay National Park in the North offers great diving and fishing off-shore. Another gem in the area is Hluhluwe Game Reserve which offers great viewing in forest, bush and savannahs. Mfolozi, south west of Hluhluwe is another massive Game Reserve which focusses on saving the White Rhino and also hosts Black Rhino, antelope, the big cats and Buffalo.
Zululand – if you are after culture, you can explore Zululand. Zulu villages are still lived in today in traditional fashion and are open for visits. On sale will be incredible crafts and clay pots and to experience their dancing, watch sangomas communicate with their much-respected ancestors and sample traditional foods. Visit the museums and cultural centres or head into the bush.
Drakensberg – this range lies in semi-circle 1500 metres above surrounding land and offers spectacular hiking and mountain climbing, peaceful and luxurious accomodation, trout fishing horse riding.
Valley of a Thousand Hills – heading for this incredible place makes for one spectacular drive. The valley lies 45km from Durban and all in all this is a halfday excursion with the popular Heritage Market on its way where you can shop for crafts, jewellery and dine in great restaurants.. The densely folded hills engulf traditional villages and one could go on a vintage train trip with Umgeni Steam Railways who runs on the last Sunday of each month.
