The Hellenic Republic, Greece is a country of South-eastern Europe which borders with Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania and Turkey. Lying at the point of Asia, Africa and Europe, Greece is a developed country of the European Union.
Geography of Greece is made up of mostly mountains and hills, lakes and wetlands, plus-minus 2000 islands and a 14,880 km long coastline! Greece’s countryside is famous for its huge boulders, peaks and blue oceans.
The Greek climate is Mediterranean, Temperate and Alpine – loved for its sunny and warm summers and mild, wet winters.
Greek music has indigenous, east and west influences of Ottoman, Turkish and rembetika sounds, often played with the guitar-like bouzouki. Famous musicians include Maria Callas and Nana Mouskouri.
Greek cuisine is healthy, Mediterranean and with subtle influences of the Middle East, Italy and Balkan. On the Greek menu is often found moussaka, tzatziki, feta, olives, meze, olive oil and of course dolmades.
The Greek marinas consist of 51 with over 14,000 mooring places where you can get stocked on water, electricity, fuel and get repairs.
Greek currency: Euro. Greece falls under the European Union and is a member of the Economic and Monetary Union of it.
