Australasia: Australia
Awesome Australia
A Southern hemisphere country, Australia is loved for its climate and beauty, friendly people and exciting capital cities of Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Travelling through Australia one would also want to visit Tasmania, and other smaller islands of the Pacific and Indian Ocean.
Australia’s natural resources such as the Great Barrier Reef, makes this country a hot travel destination. A mega-diverse, fertile country, the country is rich in plant, bird and mammal life. And of course, Australian guests fall in love with the koala.
The Great Barrier Reef attracts diving enthusiasts by the thousands. The world’s largest coral reef covers over 2000 km and lies close to the North East coast. Yet, the largest stretch on this flat country is desert and semi-arid, while Northern Australia is tropical with rainforests, woodlands, mangrove swamps and grasslands. Another hot spot is the world’s (claimed) largest monolith, Mount Augustus for visitors to Western Australia.
Australia’s Queensland offers the tourist plenty including Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Western and Southern Downs.
Australia’s New South Wales offers the tourist plenty including Sydney, Blue and Snowy Mountains plus Central Coast and Hunter, Illawarra, South Coast and Capital Country. Northern Rivers, Lord Howe Island and New England North West.
Australia’s Victoria offers the tourist plenty including Melbourne and Goldfields, Great Ocean Road, Gippsland, Legends, Wine & High Country, Phillip Island and Murray.
Australia’s Tasmania offers the tourist plenty including Hobart, Heritage and St Helens,Stanley, Devonport & Cradle Mountain plus Huon DEntrecasteaux Bruny.
South Australia offers the tourist plenty including Adelaide, Barossa, Clare Valley and Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Flinders Ranges & Outback.
Western Australia offers the tourist plenty including Perth, Australia’s Coral Coast, South West, North West and Golden Outback.
Australia’s North offers the tourist plenty including Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek.
For shopping Australia’s cities have much to offer and Aborigines and other art are worth investing in.
Australia, the world’s smallest continent, is conveniently close to Asia and New Zealand. It is separated from Asia by the Timor and Arafura seas and surrounded by the Pacific and Indian oceans.
