Africa, Southern: The Zambezi Valley
With the world renowned Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River being the 4th longest and one of the largest in Africa, this area is ideal for canoe safaris and camping on wild beaches. Wildlife is abundant and includes hippopotamuses, crocodiles and monitor lizards.
World-class hotels, lodges and river boats are dotted alongside the river and every imaginable activity is offered, including abseiling and whitewater rafting, micro lighting above the falls or going on a leisure horseback ride. This area is a favorite with birders and the riverside is a famous attraction for its elephants, lions and leopards, zebras and buffalo.
