South Africa is an Eco Destination
Eco Travel is a growing trend in South Africa as it enables the traveller to experience this incredible country authentically in its wildlife, wild fauna and flora. And wildlife, wild fauna and flora is what makes this country – and indeed continent – such a magical place.
For environment-conscious eco-visitors, South Africa has many establishments and services that have the lowest impact on the ecology and help dissuade the promotion of wildlife, uplift rural communities and discourage environmental destruction.
Eco-travellers will find in South Africa plenty to see and do...
-Magnificent Game and Nature Reserves.
-Wildlife Tours and Walking Trips.

As a top global birding destination, South Africa offers great bird viewing with a staggering 850 bird-species on sighted-records. Cape Town is famous for its endemics, such as orange-breasted sunbirds, the Cape sugarbirds, the Hottentot buttonquails, the protea seedeaters, the Cape siskins and known for its great viewings of waders - as is the case with the Langebaan Lagoon in the West Coast National Park.
Near Boulders Beach National Park in the Cape of Good Hope National Park you will find a thriving African penguin colony. Wakkerstroom is an area known for Botha's larks, African rock pipits and blue and white-bellied korhaans, cranes and Rudd's and more. But best of all must be the Zululand Birding Route especially the north-eastern area with its forests and woodlands, freshwater lagoons, marshes and tidal estuaries, tropical climate and incredible wealth of bird species.
